Rain Bird Product Specialist / Irrigation Manager

TurfCare is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Rain Bird Product Specialist / Irrigation Manager to lead the development and growth of the Rain Bird brand across the Irish market.
This is a varied role combining technical irrigation expertise, sales development, project support and relationship management. The successful candidate will become the key Rain Bird resource within TurfCare, supporting our regional sales team, irrigation contractors, golf clubs, sports facilities, landscapers and other industry stakeholders.
The Role
You will play a key role in making Rain Bird a first-choice irrigation brand in Ireland, developing opportunities from initial enquiry through specification, sale and installation, while providing ongoing technical and customer support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing Rain Bird sales across TurfCare’s existing customer base and identifying new opportunities.
- Supporting regional sales representatives with product knowledge, technical advice and commercial support.
- Identifying and developing irrigation projects across the golf, sports, landscape, horticultural and domestic markets.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with irrigation contractors, customers, consultants and key industry stakeholders.
- Providing technical advice, product selection, system support and troubleshooting.
- Supporting projects from initial enquiry and specification through to installation and ongoing customer support.
- Working closely with Rain Bird’s technical and commercial teams on projects, product developments and market opportunities.
- Delivering product training and support to TurfCare’s sales team.
- Supporting product demonstrations, marketing initiatives and industry events.
- Working with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure the right Rain Bird products are available at the right time.
About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong irrigation knowledge with commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in irrigation, golf, turf, landscape, horticulture or a related industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems and products.
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- A commercially focused and proactive approach.
- The ability to identify opportunities and develop them into successful projects.
- Experience working with customers, contractors and sales teams.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- A willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
Rain Bird experience would be an advantage, but candidates with strong irrigation industry experience and the right technical and commercial mindset will also be considered.
