Technical Area Sales Manager

TurfCare is looking for an ambitious and technically minded Area Sales Manager to join our growing team in Ireland.
TurfCare is a specialist supplier to the golf, sports turf, amenity and landscape sectors, providing innovative solutions across plant nutrition, soil health, moisture management, irrigation and seed selection. We work with leading international brands including Plant Food Company, Tee-2-Green, RhizoSolutions, Rain Bird, GAIA Soil Biology and TOMi Monitoring Device.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing an existing customer database, while actively identifying new opportunities and growing TurfCare’s business.
This is a technical sales role, where the ability to understand customer challenges and provide practical solutions is just as important as selling products.
The role will be based in Leinster, with extensive travel throughout Ireland required.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous sales or business development experience is highly desirable, together with a strong technical understanding of areas such as:
- Plant nutrition
- Soil chemistry
- Soil biology
- Moisture management
- Irrigation
- Turfgrass seed and cultivars
Experience within golf, sports turf, agriculture, horticulture or landscaping would be an advantage.
However, full training will be provided. We are particularly interested in someone with the right attitude, commercial drive and willingness to develop their technical knowledge.
The successful candidate must be:
- Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative
- Confident building and developing customer relationships
- Commercially driven with a desire to grow the business
- Technically curious and willing to learn
- Well organised and capable of managing their own territory
- Comfortable working independently
- Willing to travel extensively throughout Ireland
- In possession of a full driving licence
